That’s why I started Design Take-Out. This service makes it possible for us to provide anyone anywhere with Decorating Ideas that are super easy to implement. It’s perfect for busy homeowners who need a starting point (and maybe even a little encouragement) to get going. Using photos of your room and other information that you send via email, we offer the following options:

  • Design Plan – includes a design board with furnishings, space plan, paint colors and a shopping list
  • Paint Color Selections – interiors and exteriors
  • A Phone Consultation is also included with this service

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

• Why is Design Take-Out different from other eDesign services?

Color and Style are at the core of my designs.  For over 15 years, I’ve been helping clients transform their spaces with carefully chosen colors.  Adding color is the easiest and most economical way to improve the look and feel of your home.  In addition to my color expertise, I make sure that every project is a collaboration with my clients.  I’ll listen to what you want and what your frustrations are, and I’ll get detailed information about your space.  Then, I’ll present fresh ideas that will complement your style and give your space a finished look.

• What information do you need from me?

You’ll need to send an email with the following:

  • Photos taken of every wall and unique angles in the space
  • Dimensions of the room {for Design Plans}
  • Your ‘Furniture Story.’  Tell me what furniture pieces stay, what goes, and what new pieces or other items you want {for Design Plans}
  • I’ll also send you a design questionnaire that you can fill out and submit online.  This will give me insight into your lifestyle, tastes and goals for your space.

• How can I purchase the paint and products in my design?

I specify paint colors by Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore. Both companies have stores just about everywhere, so you can purchase the paint locally. I specify all other products from online sources, and I’ll give you a direct link to each item on your shopping list. I also recommend that clients source local stores, like HomeGoods, Target or Marshall’s to find similar items that may also be less expensive.

• How much is this service?

Paint color selections begin at $100.

• What form of payment do you accept?

I accept payments via PayPal.  I’ll send you an invoice once you have approved the quote for your project.

• How long will it take to get my design?

It takes about 3 days for Color Selections and 2-4 weeks for Design Plans.  However, before your project is complete, I will send you a preliminary design board so I can make sure we’re in agreement with how the project is going {for Design Plans only}.  When it’s finished, I will email your project as a PDF file or a MS Word document.

• What if I’m not completely satisfied with my design?

If you would like changes after your receive your plan, I will modify your project one time at no additional charge. After that, there will be a fee for additional modifications.
